Customer Testimonials

RetroAir A/C Kits/Parts

Julien LeBleu
Jaguar XKE V12

"Rock I got the air installed and the system charged. It was blowing 32 degrees inside and does not seem to have added much to the heat of the radiator temperature. You were correct the small size of the condenser does not tell the story of how good a job it does. Very pleased. The only adived I would give would be to make the hose from the dryer to the evaporator about a foot longer. Using the existing evaporator does not seem to be a problem as far as match and working with R134 A."

Aug 2011

"We completed the upgrade and charged the system last week and everything is working fine. Getting about 35 deg at the vents and lots of air from the new blower motor.", "All in all about 15 hurs of my time to get the new hoses, evaporator upgrades and the new rear condenser in and another 2 hours for the A/C techs to fix an existing front condenser issue, oil and test the charge system.", "The car is much more pleasant to drive, even with the Targa top off. The low setting on the A/C prevents the cabin from warming up and everything is cool with the top on.", "I got quite excited when I saw the drips of water from the evaporator on my garage floor. Never seen that before!!!!"

In August 2008, Richards installed a Full Porsche kit in a 1974 Porsche 911.  The
manager said the car was getting vent temperatures in the ‘upper Thirties F’
while driving with the Fan on high (the temps would be lower with lower fan speeds.

“The unit certainly looks good and I am extremely pleased with its performance.  It is bringing the air down between 1 degree C and 5 degrees C.  An impressive performance.  I must point out that this car did not have factory installed AC.”

“Air Con is now wonderfully cold.  Most times after initial 5 mins, blower is at Speed 1 and Temperature control midway.  Compressor cuts in and out regularly.  GREAT!”

“It really works! I recently did an upgrade to high-tech serpentine evaporator, multiflow condenser, drier, and barrier hoses from Retroair.com and get 33 degrees out of the center vent on 85 degree days and 36 degrees in 105+ degrees we have been having in Dallas”

“The AC is a special kit prepared by one of the best designers in the business.  His name is Rock Browning.  He specializes in adding AC to the early Jaguar Saloons bringing it in the front…Everyone else will try to bring it in the rear or sell you something that ruins the interior.  He is the best so if you need air, you need Rock.  No affiliation, just know he is the best”
